What Others Had to Say:
So informative! I can't believe I almost left due to the crowd. Dr. Turri is knowledgeable and more importantly passionate about brain health. I did not experience any sales pitch at all just a doctor that is concerned about Dementia and educating others on research that lays out ways to reduce risk. I really felt like Dr. Turri wanted each of us to be informed and he did not end his talk until everyone had a chance to ask questions.
It was a great experience. Dementia has been so frightening for me and my sister the last couple of years since our aunt has totally forgotten who we are. Our aunt's doctor told us there is no cure and that if you're going to get it there is not much you can do about it. Dr. Turri is a ray of hope for us and so informative. We left his talk armed with knowledge and several tips on steps we can take to reduce our risk of dementia.
Knowing that I can improve my brain health and reduce my risk of dementia was my take away from Dr. Turri's talk today. He broke down a scary subject and provided a road map to follow.
I've been to a number of talks on Dementia and even talked to my physician for direction on what I should be doing to reduce my risk but Dr. Turri is the first doctor that actually shared research with me that talks about prevention and lays out a plan for improving brain health.
Most times when I attend health seminars I feel as though the doctor wants you think they know everything and has all the answers. Dr. Turri was not like that at all, he presented great information but made it clear that he doesn't know everything and that he is constantly reading new research to help his patients. I loved his passion for brain health and how he is practicing what he preaches.
